Zinc plating

Zinc plating offers a coating which is cost-efficient when compared to other coatings. Zinc plating also offers a real value in substrate protection. MMF can provide both rack and barrel plating with a wide variety of hexavalent chromate finishes (black, yellow, and clear).

Yellow chromate

We are currently using E-Chrome 851-L produced by Electrochemical Products, Inc. 851-L willl produce a yellow/bronze iridescent chromate conversion finish for zinc plated surfaces. Our yellow chromate finish has an outstanding resistance to salt spray and will greatly surpass the normal 96-hour salt spray resistance required by specifications for yellow chromates. Black chromate

We are currently using E-Chrome 861 produced by EPI. 861 is a black chromate for zinc plating which is superior to ordinary black chromates because it produces a harder, more adherent finish which is non-iridescent and much more uniform in color, while exhibiting outstanding corrosion resistance. It achieves resistance to over one hundred and fifty hours of salt spray before white rust forms. More information can be found at EPI's Technical Data Sheet E-chrome 861.


Clear chromate

We have chosen a product produced by EPI to perform our clear chromate finish for our zinc process. The MMF clear process produced a clear bluish chromate finish without leaching, which brightens, passivates and protects zinc plated surfaces from staining, finger marks, discoloration and corrosion. E-Chrome: Ultra Blue (Clear) High Corrosion Trivalent Blue Chromate (RoHS Compliant)

E-Chrome Ultra Blue is a Clear trivalent chromate that offers high salt spray resistance for up to 100 hours to white rust (corrosion) and 150-200 hours to red rust (corrosion) per ASTM B-117. No additional top coat is required to obtain this high degree of corrosion resistance. It produces a beautiful blue trivalent chromate to meet automotive and all other industrial standards.


E-Chrome: Super Yellow Economical High Corrosion Resistant Trivalent Iridescent Yellow Bright Chromate

E-Chrome Super Yellow is a single dip yellow trivalent chromate that offers high salt spray resistance of up to 150 hours to white rust per ASTM B-117. No additional top coat is required to obtain this high degree of corrosion resistance. It produces a beautiful yellow bright trivalent chromate to meet automotive and all other industrial standards. Hours to red rust depends upon the thickness of the zinc plate.


Electroless Nickel (RoHS/ELV Compliant)

E-Brite EN 600 deposits have a nickel-phosphorous alloy that is deposited by means of an autocatalytic reduction of metal from solution without the use of electricity. E-Brite EN 600 coatings are noted for the following properties: cCoating is uniform consistent speed, semi-bright Electroless nickel process with high phosphorous.
